Overnight Education Program
Pack your seabag and stay overnight on the last Dreadnought! The Overnight Education Program allows participants to tour the ship after hours with a knowledgeable docent, exploring areas not open to the general public. The Overnight Education Program welcomes Scout Troops, families, schools, and youth organizations.
This program will resume following the ship’s reopening.
Traveling Trunk Program
The Battleship Texas Traveling Trunk program provides materials to teach a specific topic or subject. The trunks allow students to get hands-on experience learning about Battleship Texas and the ship’s role throughout history. Each school year, Traveling Trunks are free of charge for classrooms nationwide.
Field Trips
We can’t wait to welcome school children back to Battleship Texas. We are developing new and engaging field trips that will explore her rich history and tell the stories of the sailors who served on her. Each program will align with Texas standards and cover topics such as history, math, science, and technology.
