    Operation Torch

Our first online exhibit tells the story of Operation Torch, the Allied Invasion of North Africa in 1942. The Allied victory in North Africa brought France back into the war, massively shifted the balance of power in the Mediterranean, and delivered a victory to the folks at home.

Traveling the World on a City at Sea

The Galveston Railroad Museum is hosting a Battleship Texas exhibit created by our friends at Texas Parks & Wildlife. This exhibit takes a look at Battleship Texas’s travels around the world from 1914 to 1948, and features many artifacts that have never been on display before!
