SAVY Program at Moody Gardens

Battleship TEXAS teamed up with Moody Gardens to host a class on artifact preservation and care!
The Society for the Advancement of Volunteer Youth, or SAVY, provides students ages 13 to 17 with the opportunity to volunteer in their community while gaining experience in a variety of career fields. As a museum ship, preserving TEXAS and the many artifacts is extremely important, and we were happy to provide these students with hands-on instruction and experience.
