Speakers

We have a variety of speakers that can present at your event. Our speakers are most often requested for presentations on the general history of Battleship Texas or the ongoing repair and restoration projects. If you have something else or something more specific in mind, we may be able to accommodate your request.

20 mm Anti-Aircraft Gun

Our 20 mm anti-aircraft gun is a popular guest for events all around the state. This is not a static display, the public can get a hands-on, interactive experience with this historic weapon and man their battle stations. The anti-aircraft gun is mounted on a trailer for easy transport, though there are still significant monetary and staff time costs to bring the trailer for an event. With that in mind, we try to attend as many events as feasible but we cannot bring the anti-aircraft gun for every event.

Touch Table

Our most common request – we can bring a hands-on display of various historic items, mainly uniforms, ammunition, and other equipment that sailors and marines on Battleship Texas would have used. If we are bringing the 20 mm anti-aircraft gun to an event, we usually prefer to set up a touch table alongside it.
